One of my all time favorite places for photographing birds is Bisset Park in Radford Virginia. There is a paved trail that leads you beside the New River and allows for amazing photo ops. The blue you see in the background of this photo is the sky reflected off of the river. As you can see, it was definitely a blue sky day.

It's difficult to get clear pictures of birds in flight and especially when there are tree branches and other things in the way of getting a good focus! Good job!
Fantastic capture... those wings show up very well.. ;o) I to take many pictures when I'm out like this... it certainly gives me something to do on the days I can't get out..
